We’re a neighborhood coffee shop, not a data company. This page explains — in plain language — what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do (and don’t do) with it.
Who we are

What we collect, and why
- When you create an account: your name, email address, and — if you choose to share it — your phone number. We use these to run your membership, apply your coffee credits at the counter, and send you the emails your account needs (like receipts and December credit reminders). Your password is stored securely hashed; we never see it in plain text.
- When you request an event booking: your contact name, email, phone (optional), and the event details you give us — type, date, time, party size, and any notes. We use them to review, confirm, and host your event.
- When your kids play in the playroom: at check-in we record each child’s first name (first names only — never a last name), plus the guardian’s name and phone number. This is our safety roster: it’s how we always know who is in the room and who they belong to. We keep these records for safety and incident-review purposes. The live occupancy number shown on our website is only a count — never names, never individual records.
- Cookies: we use authentication cookies to keep you signed in to your account. That’s it — we don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t currently run any analytics or tracking scripts.
- Payments: all card payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we never see or store it.
Who helps us run this
A few trusted service providers process data on our behalf so the website and your account work:
- Supabase — our database and sign-in system (where your account lives).
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Stripe — processes payments.
- Resend — delivers our emails (confirmations, receipts, reminders).
- Google Maps — the map on our Visit page is embedded from Google, and Google may collect data (such as your IP address) when the map loads, under Google’s privacy policy.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising. Ever.
Kids’ information
Children don’t create accounts and don’t use this website. The only information we hold about a child is the first name a parent or guardian gives us at playroom check-in, tied to that guardian’s contact info, kept as part of our safety records.
Your choices
- You can view and update your name, email, and phone anytime in your account settings.
- Want your information deleted? Email contactus@gatherandground.com and we’ll take care of it. We may need to keep limited records where the law or safety requires it (for example, playroom check-in history), and we’ll tell you if that’s the case.
If this policy changes
If we start collecting something new — say, we add analytics someday — we’ll update this page first and note the change here. The promise stays the same: we collect what we need to serve you, and nothing more.
